High School 1954
High school, 1954
This is from the year after I started dating oldjoe
The act is "Bill Haley & the Comets", we actually did this at "George Diamond's Million Dollar Ballroom" on 26th and Wisconsin Ave. in downtown Milwaukee. We were pretty good . . . we still think we are, oh well.
The big difference is we were in color not black & white.
Just a bit of where we came from . . . "if you don't understand history you'll make the same mistakes expecting a different outcome".
No mistake here. We're very happy and proud of how it, and all of you, turned out. Great fun always.
Go for it, don't let anyone tell you what the hell to do, we never did

Now we are past Christmas
The joy and happiness leading up to
Christmas is now over. We all look
forward to the New Year now. New
Years Eve is normally one big happy,
joyful big party. Hats and Horns, loud
noise makers, and paper confetti, Beer
Wine, Egg Nog to drink, and anything
else you can think of people will drink.
Then of course there is food to eat.....
from Shrimp to Meatballs, and Potato
Chips to Nuts and everything in between
that one can think of.Eat yourself silly.
The Kiss that is given at Midnight to your
great better half, happens when the clock
strikes 12 and that BIG GLASS LITE BALL
in TIME SQUARE falls to the bottom.
Then it's time to dance and dance and still
more dancing, until it's time to go home.
The New Year has started and your good
intentions should be ready to start....
A Good New Year to All, and
2008 most PROSPEROUS.....

Today is Christmas Day....Santa has
come and gone, now starts a new year
that you must be good and do good
deeds for others. I like to think of my
self as a do-gooder.....making people
happy when I have a chance makes me
very Happy in my own Heart. To me
that is the most important way to having
a wonderful, grandeur, extravagant and
peaceful life.
Merry Christmas to All
and have a Prosperous 2008.

Snow....Snow....Snow
Well, I must admit, I miss watching the
snow fall and the beautiful picture it
makes......I sorta miss the cold outside,
but I do not miss shoveling the snow.
I can just hear the bells that are on the
horses.... jingle, jingle, jingle pulling
a sleigh through the white covered snow
that is on the ground. Over the hills and
thru the woods......jingle, jingle, jingle
onto a warm, cozy fireplace that awaits
when we get to our Friends Home.
Dreaming I guess is what I do best. I have had
flashes in my head, to the point of being able to
hear the jingle of the bells thinking of that picture,
I can smell the wood burning, the coldness on my
cheeks and the wind blowing the snow that is
falling. Close your eyes just to see if the
picture just painted appears....to me it does.
Hello to all My Friends
Just so you know, today I put a place where you
can vote/rate a Poem that I have written....it is
in the right column on My Poetry Blog. Please go

Our Visitor
We had a Visitor that sat on our Balcony yesterday Thursday
November 1, 2007. We were very impressed with our Visitor,
can anyone help me identify what my visitor is??????
It had feathers that appeared to be black and grey, or maybe it
was dark brown and tan.....hard to tell looking through the
window.....about 15 inches tall, a 4 foot wing span as it flew off,
and a very serious beak with some even more serious Talons.
What do you think it is????????

Nice Matters Awards
On to the Awards Please! "She is absolutely one of the kindest souls I have ever met… I knew her years ago, when collecting paper dolls rocked my world, and have been fortunate enough to get to know her once again through my art. Thanks my dear, for truly being one of the nicest women I have ever met! She has also overcome some serious health issues, and somehow manages to remain a forceful bright light through it all… We could all learn something from you."
“The Nice Matters award is awarded to those that are just nice people , good blog friends and those that inspire good feelings and inspiration! Those that care about others that are there to lend support or those that are just a positive influence in our blogging world!”
My dear Friend from Art by Chrysti that I have had for many years was the last one that had been nominated and she has continued the tradition by saying "I could nominate so many people, but I have decided to choose just one…"
Flory!
Warmly, Chrysti

more pictures that he took and will include at the same time.

Another double rainbow
Well, I am back from Weare, New Hampshire where I
went to help celebrate my Granddaughter's High School
Graduation. Grace....it was memorable.
I hope you believe this, but while there ....we
saw a Beautiful Double Rainbow* after a few
drops of rain.......No one had a camera to take
a picture of it.....so please believe me.........
My entire family went to help celebrate, and we
had a great time. Dan, Pete, Sam and Gracie's
friend Aric went fishing....pictures to follow. They
had a wonderful time.....Hannah, Katie and Sam
saw a 12" diameter turtle.....trying to go down the
stairs....he went "tail over head" a couple of times,
he didn't make it all the way. Grace had to stop her
car.....because a female moose was in front of it
and would not move......she blasted the horn....she
also blinked her headlights, and the moose finally
walked on across the road and Grace continued
on to Concord, it was dusk so Grace got a good look
at the moose, but of course, no camera with her.

I guess work is done for the day and he thinks it's time for a break to play with his friend, Fritz,
After play time he will resume his lap time with me.
Hemmingway is my cat.......He has long white fur and he also has 7 toes on each front paw. I must tell you, he loves me...he sits on my lap all the time, when he is not working like in the picture. He is looking for a special picture that he wanted me to post......he is still looking for it.
Sweetpea.......is one of our cats. She loves oldjoe and waits for her morning nuggle everyday. Oldjoe also feeds the cats.......could that be why she loves him? Treat time is at 11:00 AM and at
8:00 PM.......he also gives them that........another reason.......
Sweetpea helps me when I am on the computer, but not as good as Hemmingway does......
Well, I am at it again....sorry for the confusion with the three different blogs. I am more confused than you are, part of the problem is not my fault but most of it I will take the blame for.

I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge.
That myth is more potent than history.
That dreams are more powerful than facts.
That hope always triumphs over experience.
That laughter is the only cure for grief.
And I believe that Y love Y is stronger than death.
